Sessions begin with setting up a sacred space for the healing to occur and then focusing healing intentions towards the animal receiving the treatment. During a session, the Reiki energy is offered and made available to the animal. It is up to the animal how quickly and how much of the energy they absorb. The energy of Reiki is subtle which helps the animal be more accepting of the healing energies. At the end of each session, the Reiki connection is left open for the animal to pull from as needed over the next several days. This ensures the optimized level of healing occurs.
You can choose from in person or remote/distance sessions. If you would like to discuss your animal companion's needs prior to purchasing sessions, please feel free to contact me for a free consultation/discussion. Another option is that I can complete the first session and then give you an idea of what frequency might be the most beneficial. We can then discuss and agree upon the frequency of sessions moving forward.
Here are my general frequency recommendations:
If your animal is healthy and happy: You can start with just one or two sessions and then do preventative/routine maintenance sessions every so often. People will often do sessions varying from once a month to every 3-6 months. My advice here is that you know your animal best and see them everyday. Follow your heart and feel what resonates. You will start to notice when a follow-up session would be helpful by noticing a change in their behavior, energy level, and/or expressions.
If your animal has a medical need: When there is a medical need, it is best to start Reiki as soon as possible after the animal has seen the veterinarian. We can start before the veterinary appointment, but please remember Reiki can not diagnose and there is often a need for medical care in conjunction with Reiki. Also, if your animal is having a medical procedure, Reiki can be sent during that time to ease the process and maximize the outcomes.
I recommend starting with at least 3 sessions in the first week (at least every other day frequency) to help "jump start" the healing process. The effects from Reiki can be cumulative when sessions are done in close succession and can therefore boost the effectiveness of medical care. After the initial sessions, we can discuss what frequency would work best for all involved. I usually recommend at least 1-2 sessions a week while the animal is still in need of medical care. Then, once the animal is healthy again, I recommend follow up sessions every few months.
Please note, Reiki can produce sudden changes, but often the improvements are gradual over a period of time. All sessions work in alignment with the highest good of the animal. This means, that while every Reiki session is effective on some level, the results may be on a deeper level and may not be readily observable by the human eye. It may take a few sessions before you are able to observe a difference in your animal.
Also, Reiki can not reverse severe organ or tissue damage. All physical life comes to an end at some point and there is no guarantee that Reiki can delay or prevent death from occurring. If the animal is truly at the end of their life, Reiki can help the animal be more comfortable and ease their souls transition.
