At a recent Pet Wellness Expo, there were a lot of people who brought their puppies in for Easter pictures with the photographer there or to talk with the animal communicator who was also at the event. When people came to my table, I would often get asked "Why would a puppy need Reiki?"
Here is my answer: There are several reasons why any young animal would benefit from Reiki. The first is to give them their best start in life. Reiki can help ease their transition into your home and decrease the stress from being taken away from mom/the home they have known so far. Reiki can also help calm an excited puppy/kitten, help them adjust to having other animals around, or decrease any growing pains. Another thing Reiki can do is work with their DNA to decrease any pre-disposition to disease and clear out "mis-creations" as they were developing. It is also a good idea to give Reiki to any animals who were already part of your family before bringing home a new puppy/animal to help the adjustment process go as smoothly and easily as possible. If the puppy/young animal has experienced any trauma in their short lives, Reiki can help clear out that cellular memory and give them the best opportunity for a fresh start in your home. Once your new family member has made it through the initial adjustment to their new home, Reiki can help decrease their tendency towards bad habits. Also, it is a good idea to do routine preventative maintenance sessions for your young animals to clear any emotional blockages that may occur during training. For example, if the puppy doesn't understand why you are upset they peed in the house, they may internalize the emotions that go along with their mis-understanding and over time, that can lead to an energy block.
